Pics: “Pre Fue Procedure”
June 15, 2008
These pics were taken just before I had fue procedure done.
You can see where I had mulitiple strip work done and if you look close @ the top of my head you can see scar left from MPR done 10 years ago.
The crown area is slick and has a nice shine to it.
Pretty good scars, but when my hair grows out a little the scars are covered.
I will update with new and recent pictures for viewing
3 Strips and 1 MPR
June 14, 2008
I have been down the hair restoration road before and have experienced multiple hair transplant procedures. I have had 3 strip procedures and 1 MPR. I am not certain if I can name the medical companies and Doctors here, but I can say that two of the three are easily recognized the world over. I will say that the Doctors that performed my transplants and MPR were what I considered to be the best @ the time.
My hairless story like many began in my early 20’s, I am now in my late 40’s. It began when I was taking a bath and was just about to get out, I poured a cup of water over my head and saw hundreds of hairs floating on top of the water. It felt like someone had just hit me in the chest and I could not breath. It was devastating to say the least. I know how all of you out there feel and I know you understand how I felt. I had a pretty nice head of hair and was not in the least concerned about losing my hair; I would consider my attitude at the time carefree and happy. I remember the exact moment I starting losing my hair or better put when the bomb dropped.
Ok, I am new here and apologize if I ramble on a little, but I believe a little history is needed in order that you will know I am real and not just out here blogging because I like to see my post up. I have photos I will post so you can see where I was and where I am now. I have some before shots and will upload some after shots; I will apologize now, as there is a lapse in time of about two months. I had some great photos showing my progress for the last two months, but someone decided to break into my car and take everything they liked to include my brand new digital camera. I am not too upset about the camera, but would love to have my pics back.
I went to see a heavily advertised hair transplant company here in Texas back in January 2008 and was told that there was nothing they could do for me as I did not have enough donor hair to accomplish or meet my expectations. They (the med company) were still doing strip procedures. I felt I had sufficient donor hair and all the company did was to make me angry and more determined. I did more research and looked all over the world for answers. I checked into body hair transplants, hair cloning (not yet viable)… Then I found A. Armani…. I began talking to a past and current patient. We talked for almost two months; he shared his photos and experiences. I sent him my photos and he had them evaluated. I had a procedure done on April 4th, 2008. My experience was so positive that I wanted to share it with others and let them know.
I thought I was done and there was no hope, that I was going to have to live resigned to having a ball cap glued to my head. A. Armani gave me hope where there once was defeat, now I just have to wait and let time do its thing. I now look a little like a rooster that had the feathers pecked off his back. I have hair in the front, but not much in the crown area. I hear this area is a little slow to grow. I had 2417 fue grafts done and I lost one after I got back home, my own fault. The grant total is 2416.
I will upload photos and continue to upload to show progress.
